ALBATROS® launches new NEOFLEX safety shoe line

PIP EMEA is injecting pep into the segment of performance safety footwear with the new ALBATROS® NEOFLEX line. With its slogan “Freedom to move. Power to perform”, the collection is aimed at anyone who requires maximum freedom of movement, reliable protection and long-lasting comfort in everyday working life.

Built for dynamic work, NEOFLEX blends an innovative design concept with outstanding flexibility, first-class traction, stability and effective cushioning. The double-layer sole construction is the centrepiece of the collection an extremely flexible, lightweight and slip-resistant EXOshell® outsole delivers reflex-like traction and direct response, while the cushioning EFFECT.FOAM® core on the inside supports a particularly comfortable running experience with noticeable energy return.

Maximum flexibility meets reliable grip

The ultra-thin EXOshell® outsole epitomises a new level of mobility in the safety shoe segment. Robust, feather-light and extraordinarily flexible, it is based on an innovative, proprietary material formulation. Combined with the naturalFLEXMOTION® running concept, the sole adapts perfectly to the natural running style and enables a particularly direct, free rolling motion.

The characteristic waffle profile enhances traction and ensures a secure grip – especially on demanding industrial floors. NEOFLEX therefore delivers a balanced combination of freedom of movement, stability and traction that is specially tailored to the varied demands of everyday working life.

Comfort that actively relieves strain

The high-performance EFFECT.FOAM® cushioning core ensures lasting comfort. Its material is extremely lightweight, highly comfortable and designed for effective strain reduction. It offers up to 60 percent energy return and reduces the impact on bones and joints by up to 47 percent (dynamic energy absorption reduces impact forces to 1.6 kN; the average impact force with safety shoes is 3.0 kN) ensuring a permanently high degree of comfort that supports fatigue-free working and noticeably relieves the foot even after extended long periods of use. The combination of a flexible outsole and responsive cushioning makes NEOFLEX a line for anyone who moves a lot on the job and is reluctant to accept any compromises.

Lightweight penetration protection and well conceived features

FAP® LITE, the latest generation of metal-free penetration protection, adds to and enhances the comfort and safety concept. The material is around 50 percent lighter than FAP®, particularly flexible and catches the eye with its improved cushioning and high pressure elasticity. What’s more, its breathable properties help to absorb perspiration and contribute to a pleasantly cool foot climate.

The breathable evercushion® RELIEF footbed rounds off the features. It consists of two precisely coordinated layers. The upper memory foam layer adapts individually to the shape of the foot and cushions areas that are exposed to heavy wear. The bottom layer made from evercushion® foam guarantees optimised pressure relief and lasting, reliable cushioning.

Adding to these features is the footbed's excellent moisture-wicking properties to ensure a dry feel. Specially adapted arch support keeps the foot in a natural position inside the shoe and stimulates the muscles while walking. The wavy grooves on the bottom prevent the footbed from slipping inside the shoe.

Six models for different requirements

All models in the new NEOFLEX line are equipped with a lightweight fibreglass toe cap and feature ESD protection, a breathable functional lining and pleasantly soft shaft and tongue padding. The technological heart of all variants is the highly flexible, non-slip NEOFLEX sole with EXOshell® outsole and EFFECT.FOAM® cushioning core.

Available in sizes 36 to 49, the collection comprises six models in total. Two models comply with safety class S1PS, two with class S1, one with class S3S and another with class S7S. Different closure systems provide additional choice in regard to handling and fit: two models come with the QUICK LOCK quick lacing system, while two have a Velcro fastener and another two conventional lacing.
