ALBATROS® adds new FLEXLITE model to its sustainable GREEN HEART family

The new TARAVAL BLUE GH safety shoe from the ALBATROS® brand, developed by ISM-PIP, is a lightweight and ergonomic design that meets sustainable materials standards. This latest addition to the popular FLEXLITE safety shoe line is also part of the GREEN HEART family.

FLEXLITE models from ALBATROS® provide first-rate protection for the wearer. At the heart of the shoe’s design is the highly slip-resistant DUO PU/TPU outsole, which provides optimal grip and excellent stability on all surfaces, but is especially suited to the rigors of industrial floors and assembly halls.

The Safety Knit Green® upper of the TARAVAL BLUE GH is made from partially recycled polyester fibers. This means that it now joins the ISM-PIP GREEN HEART family, which already includes two other models of safety footwear and workwear made from partially recycled materials.

Like last year's FLEXLITE models, the TARAVAL BLUE GH also features a fiberglass cap and the latest generation of flexible FAP® GREEN penetration protection made from partially recycled, non-metallic and extremely tear-resistant polyester fibers. The midsole is made of durable, high-performance EFFECT.FOAM®, which delivers excellent cushioning and an energy return of up to 60% while reducing impact on bones and joints by 47%.

There is growing demand for sustainable products in the safety footwear sector, especially internationally. In order to remain a leader in this field, ISM-PIP is constantly expanding its product range in this area.

At its headquarters in Lippstadt, ISM-PIP is also committed to sustainable business processes. Today, renewable energy from its own photovoltaic system covers 100% of the company's electricity needs. This alone saves the company 240 tons of CO₂ each year.
